Services That www.bridge-club.org Provides

The set of services has evolved over the time. The main driving forces behind this development were the personal experience in the bridge web site creation and maintenance, and the customer feedback. Initially, we were providing services to clients that already had a web site and wanted to provide more dynamic content. Later on, we were approached by clubs who wanted the same
service but also needed to have a web site built from scratch.

If you don't have a Web site

  1. Your Web address. This has a form of:
    www.yourclubname.bridge-club.org, or
    www.yourclubname.bridge-centre.org.
  2. Standard web site. This site has all the main components relevant to bridge clubs. There is a simple web interface through which you can enter information specific to your club. Only authorized persons may access this interface. Information entered is automatically included in your web site and you can immediately check the results. You can modify the information at any time you see appropriate.
  3. Email aliases. You can nominate a reasonable number of email addresses that would look like, for instance, treasurer@yourclubname.bridge-club.org, and be mapped to a real email address of a person it refers to. Any emails sent to the address in the club's domain would be automatically forwarded to the real mailbox.

For Everyone

  1. Up-To-Date Results. We host result index pages, from which the visitors can choose the result they want to see, and the result pages themselves. Depending on the scoring program you use, the process of uploading the results to the Web site can be fully automated, plus digested information on results per board, including personal results, and hand records can be made available.
  2. Event Calendar. You can enter the calendar of club events, like competitions, lessons, social events, via a simple Web interface. Then, we provide pages which are always up-to-date and display the upcoming events and congresses.
  3. Competition Entry Via Web. In conjunction with Event Calendar facility, we provide web pages that visitors of your Web site can use to enter competitions organized by your club. You get an automatic notification of entries at the nominated email address. People who submit their entries via Web site also get automatically notified whenever any of the event details change.
  4. News. You can edit short news articles, that may include pictures, and that automatically expire on the day you specify.
  5. Match-making. This is an automated service for publishing ads and matching players in your club who are seeking partners/teammates for your clubs sessions and competitions. This is a great feature that relieves club officials from this extra duty, provides an extra layer of privacy to players, and, most importantly, increases your club's table numbers!
