Managing Advanced Web Site

Before you start, you should have received the log in details for managing the site, as it's a protected operation. When you start, you should click on Log in link, usually at the top of the home page and then enter these details. If the Log in link is not visible, the log in is possible if you add /user to your web site's home page, for example: http://www.xyz.bridge-club.org/user.

The basic operating procedures for an advanced site are demonstrated in the series of short videos (typically ~15min long). If you're just starting with the site, it's strongly recommended you watch these videos in order and try to replicated operations on your brand new web site. The links to video are below:

  1. Header slides
  2. Officials and venues
  3. Weekly sessions and responsiveness
  4. Articles
  5. Users and pages
  6. Footer, contact and captcha

As some of these operations deal with images, you may watch the video that deals more specifically about preparation of images for web publishing.

When editing articles and pages that illustrate bridge hands and bidding, you can use special bridge notation, that expands into good looking layouts.

The videos mentioned above are completely sufficient for day-to-day management of your site. However, if you want to go beyond this please contact us and we'll provide guidance suitable for your level and objectives.
