Uploading Results With Scorebridge

This page summarizes some specific details about how to use Scorebridge for web publishing of competition results. It is assumed that you are familiar with the basic use of Scorebridge scoring program.

Setup

This is very simple. When you start with the web publishing service, you will be given a special email address to which to send the results for your club. You use this address to email to another scorer,
in Scorebridge's jargon.

Typical Operation

This is relatively straightforward. To email to another scorer you open the results to send, then click on send, click on email to another scorer, then when asked Send Player Database as well? click on no, when email comes up go to send.

Make sure to name the event, so that event appears on the index page under that name. The event name comes when you first score a new game, Scorebridge asks for a description and number of tables. You can use week of the year, day of the week, eg. W33. IF A DESCRIPTION IS NOT PUT IN THEN IT WILL NOT COME ON THE WEBSITE, only the date but no results.

Uploading hand records

If you are using pre-dealt hands, you can also upload hand records together with results, in one go. Please visit the manual page describing supported hand record formats. Look for Scorebridge Users Special chapter.

David Liell's Notes

David Liell, of Strathfield Bridge Club, kindly provided his PDF notes on result upload (see attached files). You can download these notes for offline use. He also covers the case when uploading results via web mail services like Gmail, Hotmail etc. Thanks David.
